Tour Programs

Day 1
arrival – Rome
The first day of this experience will see your arrival in the capital city in the late afternoon. After a traditional Roman dinner, a historic charm accommodation will offer you hospitality for the night.
Day 2
Rome
On the second day you will discover Rome, its most important monuments and its most hidden corners, chasing stories and legends of the past. After breakfast in your accommodation, you will meet your tour guide: the forenoon will be dedicated to the Vatican, to the superbness of St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican museums. After a short lunch you will start the second part of the day: from “Piazza Navona” to “Piazza di Spagna”, admiring the Pantheon, the Trevi fountain, palaces and basilicas, steadily growing in the level of sublimeness and beauty. After saying goodbye to your tour guide, you can do some souvenir shopping and afterwards enjoy a delicious dinner discovering the flavours of the Roman kitchen. After dinner, return to your accommodation for the overnight stay.
Day 3
Ariccia, Nemi and Castel Gandolfo
After a traditional sweet Roman breakfast, you will leave the capital city and head for Ariccia, the first locality of the Albani hills that you are going to see on this third day of your Roman holiday: surrounded by rolling volcanic hills abundantly covered with vegetationthat hides remains of the ancient Roman civilization, Aricciais for hundreds of years a destination for numerous travellers, who visit this kind of places in order to admire the harmonic combination between arts, history and nature. Together with your tour guide, you will marvel here at the Monumental Bridge, Bernini’s works and the Chigi Park.In one of the many "fraschette", the folkloristic Ariccian taverns, you have to taste the suckling pig, the typical meat product that made Ariccia famous all over the world, maybe accompanied by a glass of good local wine. Afterwards you will head for Nemi, which, thanks to its magnificent panorama, its geographical position and its climate, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and most characteristic old towns of the Roman Castles. Situated on 520 m of altitude, on a foothill facing the homonymous lake, the historic centre will offer you the possibility of a short but pleasant walk between the handicraft-, food and wine shops, a breathtaking view to the Nemi Lake, the Ruspoli Palace, the little but characteristic square of the old town and the narrow lanes towards the centre. In the evening you will move to the last stop of this experience, to Gandolfo Castle, which, imbedded on the western shore of Albano Lake, is one of the “borghi” of the castles that represents best the history and the typical landscape of the area, whose fame is linked with the presence of the pope’s summer residence. After a walk in the centre, you will enjoy dinner a gracious restaurant near the historical papal residence of Gandolfo Castle, tasting the best meats or the best fish, abundant grilled fish or smoked gilthead seabream and local bass, or if you prefer meat, the big steaks or venison. This is where your experimental tour comes to an end… we wish you a pleasant homeward journey and hope to see you again on the next tour. Arrivederci!
